JOB DESCRIPTION:

A fast growing, financially backed, fully insured receivables, domestic brokerage company in Batavia, IL is looking for a Sales Manager to lead their multi office team. This Hybrid Sales Manager/Biz Dev position is being put in place to help guide the VP of Sales growth in brokerage. Role would be to work with their customer sales team in prospecting and coaching up for sales.  Reporting and coming up with ideas to help foster growth. Brokerage experience is a must for this one in a lifetime opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing company and make your mark with of one of the strongest incubators in logistics.  This fast-paced position focuses on team building, successful customer interaction and growing the overall business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carrier Sales
    • Interact with the carrier sales team strictly from a numbers standpoint.
    • Talk to them about activity
    • Talk to them about selling loads, not processing
    • Talk to them about interacting with the customer team
    • Monitor and create contests to spur activity
    • Listen to call recordings for sales improvement
  • Customer Sales
    • Work with the customer team on sales
    • Monitor their funnel for activity / accountability
    • Work with them to better interact with the carrier team
    • Create and monitor contests
    • Listen to call recordings for sales improvement

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Brokerage experience a must.
  • Sales with proven track record in past highly positive.
  • Prior management experience highly preferred
