One of the fastest growing BMS controls contractors in NY/NJ/CT, is seeking an experienced Construction Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and business development activities within the construction industry, focusing on promoting our BMS control solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company by identifying and securing new construction projects..
- Identify and target potential clients, including general contractors, developers, and construction firms, to promote our BMS control solutions and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the construction industry, understanding their project requirements and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to understand the technical aspects and capabilities of our BMS control solutions, effectively communicating these to potential clients.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and bids, highlighting the value and benefits of our BMS control services for construction projects.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring that terms and conditions align with company policies and profitability targets.
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming construction projects, providing insights and recommendations for strategic business development.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the company's presence and build a strong professional network within the construction industry.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successful sales experience in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on building automation and controls.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and the role of building automation systems in construction projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas within a competitive market.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools for tracking and managing leads and sales pipelines.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- $100K + commission (no ceiling)
