Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our concrete and masonry contracting business. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of concrete and masonry projects, from initiation to completion. Your expertise in engineering, combined with your extensive experience in the construction industry, will be vital in ensuring the successful execution of projects and maintaining client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to ensure project viability.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and controlling costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Assign responsibilities and tasks to team members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular project team meetings to communicate project objectives, expectations, and updates.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and addressing their concerns and requirements.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for additional work or project expansions, and collaborate with business development teams to pursue new contracts.
4. Quality Control and Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures and procedures throughout the construction process.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any quality or safety issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the concrete and masonry construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong knowledge of concrete and masonry construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
